Shouldn't keep your core tight – or at least this is misleading – back straight, squeeze your glutes, but keep your abs lose (this can be tricky for some until you get it right), raise as the dude shows. As he says " the only thing you should feel working is you glutes – hence keep the core or belly loos. Maybe I misunderstood his core tight comment!!

Doesn’t hip hyper-extension mean your back HAS to arch? You say your back has to stay straight but it clearly arches when you hyper-extend your hips? So which is it? Great video otherwise I just don’t know what my back is meant to be doing
