hey scott im a pretty lean ectomorphic guy trying to put on mass, my question is should i regularly alternate from slow controlled sets to explosive, high weight sets? If so, how often would be ideal?

Hi, have you tried "Musclegend" (search on Google)? On their website you can watch a nice free video demonstrating the right way to develop noticeable lean muscle easily whilst losing body fat simultaneously. "It isn't about how much you can lift. It's about doing the repetitions". Yes, at a heavy fuckin weight. Cut out the super setting so you can achieve high reps at the same maximum weight each time. That's what matters in terms of gaining and maintaining size. If you want to build endurance in the muscle, then sure, add super setting. But I have the feeling most people here are looking to gain size. This is the same thing as fatiguing yourself through warm up before even start your workout

why so low rest period when you see you had to drop 45 lbs on your bench press when you actually needed more time between then 60 seconds. Take a longer rest period when you see you have to drop so much weight whats the point of going so light
