Yoga Strength Workout, Prenatal Fitness, Class FitSugar – POPSUGAR Fitness

by YouTube Team

Yoga is a great way to work out when you’re pregnant. It strengthens the body for birth while also stretching the tight muscles often associated with pregnancy. Yoga also helps expectant mothers connect with their breath, an important part of managing labor. Try this 10-minute yoga series, created and led by YAS yoga instructor Amanda Cosindas. It works the legs and opens the hips — just what pregnant women need!

Thanks for the feedback! We've been doing one 10-minute Class FitSugar workout each week — would you want to see even more?

Love the ten minute workouts, especially yoga workouts, they are perfect for busy girls like me who hate stepping in the gym and love working out from home.

Z, can you do some more prenatal work outs? I'm in my first trimester and really love all your work outs, just don't know which one is best to do for me 😉 Congrats on your baby! You look great! Beso

As a stay at home mom on baby #4, these 10 min workouts have been a blessing! With my other pregnancies I took the kids to the gym but it just hasn't worked out with all three. I do 3 of these 10min work outs a day and have stayed toned and fit so far and am at 31 weeks. Thank you for this channel! I share my workouts on facebook for my other pregnant friends almost daily 🙂

I thought up-dogs weren't safe during pregnancy… Is that not true? I would love to get my sun salutes going again.

You're right. you can make your workout sessions much more productive if your eating the right foods to avoid fat and belly.

Listen to this in a best female model 2012 exclusive interview she had mentioned about her strong abs with this 7 food items.

In addition to taking the pressure off the belly, the "Cat Cow" pose that you mention help bring the uterus out of the pelvis, which make everything in the pelvis a LOT happier! 🙂

It would be a shame if you did not get ripped when average people are able to get ripped easily using Morsch Muscle Madness (Google it).

The cobra pose is very uncomfortable at 31 weeks pregnant. Otherwise, I loved the workout.

This workout didn't feel comfortable to me at all. I really like the 10 min workout with Andrea though (Heidi Klum one).

This is not a good workout for pregnant women. It is very uncomfortable and I don't believe that these poses should be done when you are well into your second trimester.

This isn't really prenatal yoga, just regular yoga done by pregnant women. Some of these moves are definitely not safe for many pregnant mamas to do. These pregnant ladies are obviously not novices. Just be aware of this and don't injure yourselves! There are lots of videos that are actually modified to be safe for pregnancy. Check those out.

Is the term 'upward dog' commonly used for referring to that particular movement?
I thought only Tony Horton (the P90x guy) used these funny names……

Love this workout for my second trimester! I can see how it could need to be modified if you weren't practicing yoga previously though!
