"Cardio reduces cramps AND headaches."

Can you provide a citation for this? I'm even going to put aside the cramps right now out of mercy, but have you ever had a headache?

Wow! Before reading most of the comments here I never knew so many women has such terrible menstrual cycles. I've never had any if these symptoms, if I didn't have to change my tampon I wouldn't even know I was on my period. I feel so sorry for those of you who suffer. 😟

My period is actually when I have more energy and motivation to workout. The time I need help staying motivated in is actually the week BEFORE my period. The week before I always get down & feel extra lethargic. I try to focus on at least getting some movement in, even if it's not my usual high HR cardio, running, or super intense workout.

Exercising actually helps reduce my cramps. I usually stick to Pilates, yoga and strengh training. I feel better afterwards and have a bowl of chips and ice cream 😅

0:49 I just looked it up and asked several nurses I know, and apparently progesterone has NOTHING to do with feeling powerful. A having lower progesterone levels is actually bad. It's connected to headaches, migraines, and abnormal bleeding during one's period. Low progesterone levels are also what causes a lot of the negative symptoms of menopause. So, can you, like, please stop lying in order to have pseudo-superiority over other people? K thanks.

Your body needs repair during periods so one should have warm food and beverages and avoid at least 4 days of extensive workout. It is important to exercise regularly the rest of the days

PEOPLE WITH SEVERE PAIN: ask your doctor for mefenamic acid (a type of NSAID so consult your doctor on it). My periods consisted of vomiting and desiring death (or at least an ambulance) as the pain was that bad, but since I've started taking it I can actually function. The pain is significantly reduced to the point where I can sometimes attempt a workout on my period (although not 100%, so sometimes a hot water bottle is necessary, but I no longer want to die 2-3 days of the month).

Otherwise, can we have an ad company that doesn't laugh at women? plz xoxo

I usually go for long walks while on my period, the first few days, that’s the only activity I can go for, but the third/fourth day I get back to my workout routine

At most I would do like a 5-10 minute LOW IMPACT NO JUMPING exercise. Plus who like sweating on their period like ugh it just makes me feel even more gross and want to cry because of the pain and fatigue I feel

Girls, I tried to exercise after watching this. It is the first day of my period and the flow is not very heavy (the second usually is the worst day for me). So I did 8 sets tabata, nearly vomited at the third set and got cramps at the second and seventh set and still have pains now. I am a normal size women who do exercise 3-5 times a week and don't h'ave dysmenorrhea. I feel good mentally because of sweeting and staying actively. But my body does suffer a bit. So think twicely before you hit the gym during the period. It lifts your mood but also makes you hurt👀👀👀
