False grip for pull ups? I found my self doing this automatically as I just started doing assisted pullups. I thought I was doing it "wrong" lol, and would go to closed grip. Thanks for the info! Going to do false grip next time!

i use the overhand grip to simulate a hook
i focus on my elbows and pull them towards my body
i squeeze my back at full contraction
i use full range of motion
