Increase Muscle Growth –
Muscle growth is one of the most difficult things to accomplish the longer you spend in the gym. The more years you have accumulated training and working out the more difficult it becomes to get your muscles to grow each and every workout. Most often this is due to the fact that simple workout techniques are being ignored that could help you to overcome stagnation and help you to start seeing muscle growth and gains every time.
In the case of this video, I demonstrate one of the best muscle growing tips that you can apply and should apply to every rep of every set you do in each workout. Muscles grow based on the amount of microdamage that they are subjected to as a result of training intensely. When you create small tears in the muscle fibers you FORCE the muscles to have to repair themselves and come back a bit stronger and bigger (more fortified if you will) version than they were before your last workout.
With a concentration on the negative portion of the rep you can elicit more muscle growth response from the body and ensure that your muscles grow and benefit from each workout.
For more maximum muscle growth tips and tactics make sure you head over to and get the complete program developed by celebrity trainer to the world’s most elite professional athletes, Jeff Cavaliere, ATHLEAN-X. See how you can get your muscles to grow and become more defined with the same workouts the pros use.

Just doesnt make sense on a squat then. I thought the moat tear would be happening on entering the squating position and not the entering in to the standing position? What im asking is when do I take the rep more slowly on a squat.
Hi i would like to know, when i do bicep curl my left hand get tension fast and will be in pain compare my right hand while doing the bicep curl. which mean one hand will be fail fast on this workout. and i notice my left hand is weak and the right hand i can still do more reps . is there any way to balance up the pain on both hand at the end of every rep.
Jeff is proven to be honest and clever in he’s training advises but sometime the titles for his videos are not accurate eg: 10 times more muscle
I just got introduced to your videos I have been following up with all athlean videos for woman I think there awsom and you simplify and explain everything very easy to understand your videos have helped me a lot to understand my mistakes and correct them thumbs up for all the research and hard work you have put into them I definitely will be keeping up with your videos and hope to see progress within myself in the future thanks a lot for sharing keep up the excellent work
If only there was a way to get nothing but pure negative resistance the whole rep.
Brilliant advice as always ✨🎭✨
Back when Jeff was old
The fact that Jeff looks younger now in 2019
So should i just throw my hands up and then come down slowly?
Right on!
Love from india
Jeff, do a video on different muscle fibre types and training appropriately according to your particular goals?
How those weights are called?
7 years ago and I’m only just seeing this video now, god dam Jeff been a genius for a long time lol
What will happen if a person does heavy negatives with bands rather than weights? Is the resistance too different?
So, Johnny Mercer had it all wrong.
Jeff did a much better job explaining it in the x box demonstrating it with a red athlean x band
Working out using his advice forces me to use significantly lighter weights but mind-blowing gains
But my ego will get shattered😭
The first Athlean-X video I ever watched probably 7 years ago! I became addicted to this channel finally in 2021!
This is really good to know
