CRAZY Chest Exercise – How to Build a Ripped, Defined Chest – ATHLEAN-X™

by YouTube Team

Build a Bigger Chest with ATHLEAN-X:

One of the most common focuses of guys in the gym is how to build a bigger chest. The problem is that most often they rely on the same old chest exercises like bench presses, flies and cable crossovers. Chest exercises like these often can’t build the chest muscles as much as what I call “3-D” chest exercise because they lack a few key components that are necessary to build the biggest, most ripped chest possible.

To start, most traditional chest exercises and chest workouts don’t stress athletic ground based chest exercises. An example of this type of exercise can be seen in this workout. You’ll notice that besides just being a standing chest exercise you’ll also see that there are multiple planes of motion being used.

This chest exercise can be put into any chest workout in place of the traditional chest cable crossover. Chest workouts again, often lack any type of three dimensional movement…and it’s costing you size on your chest.

For more crazy chest exercises and over 15 unique chest workouts you’ll want to head to and get the ATHLEAN-X Training System developed by celebrity trainer Jeff Cavaliere. In just 90 days you’ll be able to build a bigger chest and get more attention from all angles.

Just tried this workout and it was fantastic! Got a few weird looks from people but I didn’t even care just because of how good the burn was! Highly recommend.

Hey I was wondering what exactly you’re doing with your feet in this movement. Camera doesn’t show that far. Thanks.

This video would have been even more informative if you would have pointed to the legs and feet too, so we can see the proper position of them in the whole process.

Can you use this technique to train your upper and lower and lower chest by "puncinging" up (upper chest) and "punching down "lower chest)?

Jeff would you please update rhis video so the camera shows your exact foot position and the degree of the 3D rotation? Ive watched many times and it is fairly unclear thanks to the shoddy camera work. Thanks!

This exercise has a huge learning curve to it but you just have to do it until the motion becomes natural. By far the best chest burner I’ve ever done.

The problem with the chest exercise is your working out your biceps and wings as well by that pull so I like to isolate my tri on chest days and bi on wing days so I might try it but doesn't seem substantial difference to me.

Brandon Johnson October 23, 2021 - 1:21 am

So I just started a push day and pull day regimen and I feel like this exercise has a lil of both. With the pull back being bicep and the push across being tricep. I would probably still do this on push day but does anybody feel like this would compromise one of my two rest days for pull day
