Muscle imbalances holding back your muscle size and strength? Fix them here…
Muscle imbalances and uneven muscle development can impact the strength, endurance and shape. Most often, the wrong workout program is to blame, since it pushes you to do too many reps of the wrong exercises, which creates this uneven shift.
To fix your uneven muscles you have to first identify what type of muscle imbalance you have. Is it a strength imbalance? Is one arm bigger than the other? Is one pec bigger than the other? Is your overall muscle size just flat out uneven? Do you fatigue on one side faster than the other?
All of these are quite common, but they are all fixable or at least able to be improved greatly.
I present techniques that you can use in each one of the circumstances that I just mentioned above. We cover neurologic strength reasons for left vs right side discrepancies, circulatory reasons for faster fatigue right vs left, coordination and joint mechanics, and finally genetics.
That said, if you are still using the wrong workout program (one that hasn’t been created by a sports medicine professional with a physical therapy background – yes…those fitness “gurus” reading a few magazines doesn’t count) then you are eventually going to regenerate the same muscle imbalances and asymmetry.
It’s time to fix those forever. If you haven’t already joined TEAM ATHLEAN, then it’s time you do. Head to and see what it’s like to overlook nothing in your workouts and to start training like an athlete.

Imagine how fucking cursed he would look without traps.
my biceps takes up only half of my upper arm and grows upwards and not completely. can i fix that?
my LEFT shoulder is huge compared to right, I am right handed. And both are weighting same weights
Is it okay that my pecs are the same size, but one pec is like a bit wider or smth?
I have a cluster of imbalances due plus a separated AC joint. I can do one arm chinups on my left, with a stronger triceps long head on my left and a smaller lat and larger biceps. On the right I have a separated AC joint and the opposite! So difficult to rebalance with callisthenics so far.
Translate this video into Spanish please
Serratus anterior of the right side is bigger than the left side it is uneven how can I make it even
Always, useful information!!
I've worked on hundreds of bodies and only one person did not have a right motor dominance complex… Still relatively new to body work, only got 4 years under my belt but the numbers just don't add up.
My right arm can flex harder and looks bigger because of it but my left arm is stronger..
My left tricep is so much bigger, it looks like a different type of tricep, and my left bicep is a lot bigger. In public, or with a shirt off, i get so self conscious of the difference that im always looking in reflections to see the difference and i get very frustrated to the point that it affects my mood.
Previous knee injury/ surgery for meniscus= weak left quad and weak right glute
Nerve damage?
My left trap is bigger than my right and my right chest is bigger than left
I'm dominant with my right hand but my left side looks stronger is there a way to fix that should I work out harder with my right side with more weight and less weight for the left help????
My right arm definitely appears longer than my left
My left bisept is more pronounced and seems taller but the right is stronger
I think the shorter arm makes the muscle shorter so seems taller while the longer arm stretches out the muscle but has a better fulcrum
lets face it we are all here because of the same reason
he said do less reps with heavier weight but then said do more reps with less weight so… which one should i do?
My right side of whole body is slightly smaller. My right leg, arm, abs muscles are smaller than my left side but im right handed and dominant right. My shoulders are also uneven. My left shoulder is higher than the right and if you look closely my back is slightly crooked starting at the hips going up. Ivw been trying to correct it for a year but i need a professional. Only problem is I can not afford to go to therapy for it. I just get basic videos on youtube and NONE seem to describe how to fix my posture properly or cant even determine if its a crooked spine, muscle imbalance ot just back posture ot tilted hips…. Can anyone help?
The remedy is the obvious I guess? just add a workout to one of the muscles you want to grow?
It's weird my left forearm develops slightly less than my right. But with the biceps, it's the other way around.
My left tricep and bicep are small but left chest is big, left lat is small than right.but same reps each side. How to fix it pls tell
so nobody gon acknowledge the real real reason we all here 😂😂😂😂😂
People say your dominant side will have more muscle than the other. I am a right handed person from birth but all my muscle growth is going to left hand side. Wtf is going on 🤦♂️
I’m a lefty but my left arm is still smaller🤦♂️🤦♂️
I have a imbalance in my right leg due to ACL surgery. Would love to see more videos on how to address muscle atrophy caused by surgery.
Hi Jeff,
When I try to perform bicep curls with the left hand, for some reason, I feel a bit of strain on the back of my shoulder (left one). It feels like a joint/mechanical issue.
Is that due to a compensatory effect from the shoulders for the weakness in the left bicep?
Would appreciate if this is addressed.
