Yoga For Gardeners | Yoga With Adriene – Yoga With Adriene

by YouTube Team

This all levels holistic practice is for everyone! Suited perfectly for the actual gardener, but also designed for the metaphorical gardener within each of us.

In this session, we will bring a loving release to the low back, hips, side torso, legs, ankles and feet. We will also stretch through the hands, wrists, and arms while practicing pranayama, or mindful breathing. Stretch and soothe the muscles of the neck, shoulders that carry tension while using this time to cultivate a strong bridge between mind and body.

What seeds do you want to plant? What needs tending to?

Dig in. Let’s do it!

Namaste.

I mentioned to someone how hard it can be sometimes doing exercise when I just want something gentle on my wrists (past injury) and they suggested this and I loved it. Nothing too heavy on the wrists and so so lovely on the hips.

That was an amazing whole-body stretch! I loved it – especially the shoulder, arm and hand work! I need to start marking my favorites so I can keep returning to them. Adriene, you have so many of my favorite practices. Thank you for doing what you do!

Ahhh, thank you, Adriene, I needed that after 6 hours of clearing moss and weeds out from among the cobble stones in my parents' garden. I feel renewed and fit for the next round tomorrow 😀 Anyone else here found what feels good? Blessings and bounty to you all! xx

This was such a beautiful gentle practice! My dog came to cuddle with me for Shavasana so no complaints here! Made me realize that when we garden we can't just grow beautiful things, we need to get rid of the things that are no longer serving us.

I feel peaceful. Stretch muscles is a common need especially when they are tense. It was good for one of my arms.
