What if I can't do squats for shit?
On your other vid about leg press you said that the legs should stop at 90 deg angle but now you said to come all the way down. So what should it really be?

Good to see you not telling us to get rid of one exercise and strictly going with just leg press or just squats. I don't have a press machine at home (I turned the master bedroom of my apartment into a home gym), but I do have a smith machine. What are your thoughts on smith machine leg presses?
I notice that when I do them, once my knees tuck down far enough, my pelvis will actually raise up off the floor because of the tilt that happens, so I have no idea if that's a good thing or a bad thing and figured I'd ask you. Thanks man!

At first i always use leg press machine. Then i switch to squat. Even in my hip pain i still do squat its feel much better and train ur mental more than leg press. Then i try doing leg press machine and i have a pain in the knees so i always do squat for leg

okay but I get knee and hip pain when I squat, and my squat is very weak. so I started doing leg press instead and no pain. I definitely want to build a big squat but im worried im going to destroy my knees. ive watched countless form videos and done what they say but it still hurts. my knees and hips have actually started popping since I started squatting. so my question is could I build a base of strength for squats by leg pressing? or should I just push through the pain? because its not that bad its more the fear of having old man joints by 30 that stops me lol

Going through the motions is mindless repetition, going through point A to point B, is just moving the weights… going heavier and heavier you're not going to get your legs bigger…. proof is in the pudding!
It doesn't matter about foot placement on the leg press machine if all you're doing is straining your knees and hips joints!

I totally get Scott. He's a great teacher first and foremost. He's not a roid freak trying to impress other roid freaks. He's got the confidence to be himself, which in itself should be a big aspect of bodybuilding. Scott is strong, but it's natural and healthy strong that won't get you injured. I'm 50 and I'm getting in better shape than I've ever been with inspiration from Scott. Would be an honor to train a session with him someday!
If the keyboard warriors here spent more time training instead of being rude to Scott, they might actually make some gains lol.
Actually going ass to grass isn't that important ass long as you get lower than your knees you'll gain your maximum size
