Ct is right. If you really want to get yoked you gotta lift that pig iron. It’s way harder than an Olympic bar and there’s no denying that. Sam just pressed 400lbs + of pig iron. That’s very impressive. Anyone who thinks 225 lbs on an Olympic bar is the same on pig iron need a common sense reality check. 1) It is a 1 inch bar so it is way more awkward to grip and balance. It puts more tension on the wrist. 2) The weight on an Olympic bar is further spread out away from you. On pig iron, that raw steel weight is right next to you. The shorter the distance the heavier the weight will feel. I have never lifted pig iron but always wanted to. But I don’t need to lift it once to know it’s much harder.
