Firstly, I have tears running down my face at your fart story. Seriously you guys are amazing story tellers. On to weddings, you are SO right about a wedding being political. I am a bit older, 52, and one would think that at 52 you could avoid the drama or control your parents. Nope. IF you ever did it I would STRONGLY suggest doing what you said, just get married with your immediate family only (you don't want to piss them off for a long time after all) somewhere far away and then have a big party after. The pressure is off that way! 🙂
Phew I cannot agree more abt not having a wedding! Weddings on average take 31k!!! That is money I could gladly selfishly spend on me and my partner. I don’t give a crap abt making a good memory for other people.
