''Only good things happen"
You just turned my day around:)
What's even harder is the overhead squat! I can barely overhead squat w/ the bar alone w/o keeping my back extended & chest out. But imma get there!
Respect!! Keep up the good work!!!
Mike Rashid 1….Skinny Jeans 0
mike try a crossed overhand grip for front squats, they help a lot with stabilizing the weight.
All kinds of Hulk action going on with those pants
Mike, Kelly Starrett at Mobility WOD has some great front rack/shoulder mobility drills to improve your shoulder/arm position in the front squat, check it out on YouTube
without failure you cannot triumph
Hey mike. Do you have any sort of plan to overcome the heavy weight on your shoulders when you front squat? Cause I got the same problems too with front squats (grip and flexibility).
That's real Mike! That's why I listen to your videos and advice. Keep up the good work and stay positive bro.!
I can only do 275 on front squat:/
Much respect for Mike! Always keeping it real. Much love man
Front squats, make a bitch out of anyone. Good Job Mike keep that shit" poppin"
Good to see someone such as yourself struggle with the front squat. I thought it'd be an easy transistion
You think front squats are hard, try overhead squats.
Dammmmmmmm……Looks at those Pants..Rashid do not give a fuck at all!!
Mike Rashid is a straight beast and inspiration. The knowledge and drive that you, CT and Big Rob have is incredible. Thanks for posting the videos you posts that you do! Ass Chested MuhFukka! haha CT for days
On your front squats, the bar needs to be higher on the deltoid. It should simply rest on the delt. In this video it looks like it is resting almost on the top of the bicep. When it's that far forward it throws your center of gravity off your heels. Also the bar shouldn't be in your hands, only the fingertips should touch the bar to secure it until your wrist flexibility develops. Elbows high etc I'm sure you know all this stuff, and I'm nobody. By the way nice ripped pants, pretty legit.
Mike what's your take on the broner fight?
What's up Cinque Glendy aka Mike Rashid, convicted felon who shot ta his ex wife?
damn your pants exploded
Squats soo hard pants ripped!
Thats True! I teach the exact same thing about failures! "Failures are the road map to your success" with them you would not know what you have to work on to get to where you want to be… and beyond! No limits
Skinny jeans for support ? Lol not hating but u went hulk on them any particular reason ?
You're a beast man, you'll dominate those front squats in time!
it would be cool to see you collab with elliott on front squats since those are his thing
Mike that bar is out on your arm on the front squat, no wonder you can't hold it. You need to place that bar back behind your front delt, it'll sit in there nice and stable.
this man ripped his pants and kept going like a boss lmao
You inspired me to make videos, he guys checkout my channel to help support the fitness community
Mike for fronts try and place your hands slightly wider than ur shoulder width and then slighy flare you elbows inward alil yhis helped me get comfortable. Buy u gotta go finger grip then not crossover. Also u gotta keep chested lifted or kinda almost like rib cage extension or like lat spread almost. I hit 295 for 1 rep in like 3 wks and my back squat only like 445 so u got that
Plus you def gotta have the bar further up basically lying on you front delts and across your upper chest. And always think about keeping elbows high
U need less qrist flexibilty than u think. U thought that because u had ur elbows too low so ur like damn I need crazy wrist flexibility to hook the bar but as u raise ur elbows ur hands go closer to the bar much better position, more leverage better grip less flexibility needed. U def got this. 365 in like less than a month I bet once u get a feel for the technique
Front squats are where it's at! I hurt my rotator cuff so I had to lay off of shoulder presses and back squats. Shit sucked, I've been doing front squats for the past 3 months, it's been a humbling experience. I hit back squat for the first time yesterday since beginning of October, I went easy on it, not breaking any any PRs or anything, but I felt my legs were really engaged and my core was stable. I'm keeping them front squats around, alternating every other workout between back squats. Good shit.
I do my front squats with my arms locked onto each other. Each hand grabs the opposite forearm, hold it high and power through. I find that to be much more comfortable and manageable. Some people look at it and call it the "genie squat" try it out and let me know what you think!
Lmfao you ripped your pants mike! Lmao
get tourine for those back pumps, thats what happens when ur on the juice. Get a back belt as well. The workout is a leg workout. You should not feel it in your lower back
Love his videos because its more than lifting its philosophy
did your shorts rip while squatting??
U Real Bruh!… I like that!.. Gr8 Info … Good Vibes Bro… keep up d gr8 work!..
This was really helpful! Thanks mike.
Front squats are hard >=(

clean grip is needed
clean grip is needed
Yo Mike you're a true inspiration to me and not just you but Ct Rob and all y'all I see what y'all do in the gym and it hits me with what y'all are doing and in and out the gym. I try and apply everything y'all do and say in and out of the gym and in my life. I'm 18 and have had alot of struggles in my life but you all give me the strength and inspiration to fight through all of it and not back down from shit and beat it. I am only starting my journey and have along way to go to hut my goals but without y'all I may be on a completely different path right now so for that I thank y'all and just keep inspiring people to be the best they can be and y'all keep killing it out there
If you drop the bar slightly lower on your back squat you'd be able to be more upright when doing ur squats. Less stress on your back, since you have to slightly adjust ur posture during lift. So the center of gravity will not move during the lift.
When you realized that you could not reach proper depth with any kind of reasonable form at 135 what was your thought process behind adding 180 more pounds to the bar? I know that sometimes the right amount of weight helps you settle into the groove on a squat, but you were bouncing around like an alcoholic with the DTs trying to do a pistol squat on a beach ball in a hurricane.
