Now that gyms are starting to re-open I know you guys are ready to go back! But remember, even though Muscle Memory will kick in, your bodies are detrained, your muscles are flat and your strength is down. This is just what happens with too much time off and your old workout routines may be too much volume for your body to handle.
You need workouts that consist of mainly compound movements so you can get in and out of the gym in about an hour feeling like you were able to target a little bit of everything and you need to do this workout a few times a week.

Having an ARM DAY, CHEST DAY, BACK DAY, etc just won’t be optimal.

But before you decide to leave your caves and start exploring the world again after quarantine. You might want to clean up a bit! Haha

Bah-bells and Kah-dio. Hit it hahd! Wait, I recognize that accent!

The hardest workout is not the 1st one back, it is the 2nd one. I workout at home and was ill for 5-6 months. I lost a lot of gains and it took several attempts to get to a 2nd workout and if you don’t do it within days of the first, it becomes the first again.

Love the interaction with Ricky 😂 Sound advice too – Austria’s opened up already, hitting the gym today for the first time since mid-March. I tried staying in shape with the all-bodyweight 15 minute routine, still love that one for a morning kickstarter!

Sorry Scott I completely disagree, atleast for myself , I maintained a decent amount of muscle using only bands during the pandemic , so on Monday when my gym opened up AF I went and did chest 3 flat dumbbell 3 decline and 3 incline not only did I feel like I didnt workout I never got sore not one scintilla so the following day I hit my muscles (back) at about 70% of normal capacity, it was what my muscles needed. Great video but we are all a little different, I btw am 52 years old and been training since I was 14. Thank you for your content

For how long would you recommend doing these workouts before we transition back to a traditional routine? And at what frequency? Thanks!

How long should I follow this workout for before I go back to old routines or another workout in general ? And if I was doing some exercises at home with just some DBs would I still need to take it easy going back since my muscles were still getting some sort of stimulation from home ?
