The truth is, we don’t always eat because we are hungry!
Ask yourself:
When was the last time you ate because you were truly hungry?
When was the last time you ate so much you felt absolutely stuffed?
How did you feel afterwards? Satisfied? Ashamed or guilty?
If your eating is out of control and you tend to think about food all the time, WATCH THIS VIDEO to discover the different types of hunger, learn to recognise why this is happening and to eat more mindfully.
There are typically 8 types of hunger:
#1 Physical Hunger
#2 Nutritional Hunger
#3 Emotional Hunger
#4 Habit Hunger
#5 Sense Hunger
#6 Boredom Hunger
#7 Environmental Hunger
#8 Hormonal Hunger

Joanna can you please make a video called weight loss for tweens (age 10-12) in which you can explain the exercises needed as well as a diet plan pleaseeee. because I really want to lose weight as a 12 yr old and I can't find good workout and diet plans for that age. Right now I am just doing the 8 minute teen workout by you without any diet plan. Please do this idea

i feel like i have nutritious hunger too often, especially at evenings even though i eat healthy foods i cook myself and i never add sugar or too much salt. i may eat buckwheat, eggs, tomatoes, rice, beans and still and still feel hunger until i’m stuffed. one day i was so full, i had a cup if water and i was going to throw up. but i couldn’t control myself and wanted eat more fried potatoes and yoghurt
From last one month i m following ur videos.actually worth it.but sometimes because of busy schedule or muscle pain i can't do exercise.plz suggest something simple and everyday exercises to lose weight.

Before lockdown I was the skinniest girl in my school but during the lockdown i started eating out of boredom. I weigh 91 pounds(im 14) but I think my body fat percentage is high and now I just want to become fit but it's really hard considering I've asian parents 😭

About the hormonal hunger, are there recommended foods to eat before,/during/after a femine cycle? If someone is on a hormone based birth control (as from experience I naturally craved more food.. I'm guessing to process the extra hormones?😬 I've since stopped it, but just curious)

This probably is related to fitness but how can you tell the difference between being physically hungry or just stomach pains on your period? 🤔
I’m pretty sure you do not have to eat three times a day that it is just recommended. I’m just a 12 year old kid so I’m not sure. I think you should eat when you are actually hungry. 🤷♀️
I asked my girlfriend to stop me every time I wanna buy an ice cream or other sweets. Since then I only go to supermarket with her.
As for me,it has been nearly a week that I'm eating until I feel bloating. And now I'm eating while watching this video. 😅😅.Thanks for this video and I'll get back into my healthly diet tomorrow. And I'm your fan. Take care!
Sense hunger. Mostly i stick to my strict diet but this happen to me quiet often. Many times i can control it but sometimes i cannot and then i feel guilty and regret eating.
When I feel depressed and down I just eat all the junk foods and then I feel happy 😬and again after 1 hour I regret it 😢

Intermittent fasting is useful for this. The hunger goes away, but I guess people just wanna keep stuffing their faces! 🙄

Love the kitchen background. Really nice! Good video-2day i wasnt really that hunger, but i was bored so i ate a low cal mug muffin with ICE CREAM!! I really didnt need the ice cream..i didnt even finish it. So i feel really guilty…and it was my workout day off. 😟🙄😒

I just miss doing all the dance routines i do back home, i can control my food intaking back home too . I really want to go home now 'cause ive been gaining weight in this stupid vacation . I didnt even do anything , were already in the mountain and i should be doing hicking but no im sitting , sleeping and eating all day . Why ?!?!??! Well let just say we didnt really come here to do activities but to visit a family memember of my cousins husband .

This is an excellent video. So many people have no idea, and treat all hunger the same. When the reality is, it's rarely actually a "need" for food. 🙂
I understand this video is 3 months old and you won't see this but thank you for this video. I have once starved myself and worked out for hours, I never thought it was an ED but now I'm realizing it was. I gained all the weight back (not all the fat surprisingly) but now I'm trying to focus on gaining muscle instead of losing weight. Your videos have been extremely helpful and I'm only just at the beginning of my journey but I'm looking forward to it!
