67% FASTER TRAPS GROWTH! | (THE ULTIMATE SUPERSET) – ScottHermanFitness

Alright, let’s start with the obvious. To get your traps to grow, you need to train your traps. So, what I want you to do, regardless of whether or not you decide to adopt the advice I’m going to share with you here, is simply double or triple the frequency of your trap training. More specifically, I want you to train your traps at least twice a week, especially if your traps are a weak or lagging body part. This means that if you think you have a solid routine already for traps, just do it two to three times a week and you will see more growth.

But if you are training your traps multiple times a week and are still not seeing growth, then maybe it’s time you adopted some new training principles for growth and the routine in this video will certainly help you break through your current muscle building plateau!

I love your content Scott and agree with a lot of what you say. However, this is going to be one of the videos I will disagree with. Rack pulls, even when done correctly, are counterproductive from a recovery standpoint, especially if you overload the bar with as much weight you demonstrate in this video. You can still get similar training effect from heavy deadlifts and have them work many more muscles. However, with rack pulls, you are working minimal muscles and still overtaxing your CNS. This means that your other big lifts like squats, deadlifts, bench, OHP, etc. are going to suffer. Furthermore, the trap gains you make from the deadlift vs the rack pulls are negligent and isn't worth it when taking all things into consideration.

Additionally, many bars are bent or cracked as a result of people doing this, making it very dangerous for other people who squat heavy weight as this can result in them getting seriously injured. So even without the CNS fatigue and recovery being considered, this reason alone should be enough as to why this exercise should never be promoted.

Other than that, I look forward to seeing your other great content being uploaded on your channel my man. 💪

I have been using the ez bar for my traps.. find it easier with the grip.. it feels different as well depending on the part where i grab on the bar.

Farmer's Walk/Carry with very heavy weights. Not just great for traps, grip strength, core etc.

The subtitles for this video are hilarious. I don't think they understand your accent and we are getting a mix between English, German and French.
