As I move forward with my workouts my goal has become to be the strongest I can be. Movements like deep squats, deadlifts, and other traditional exercises are going to be the key to my success so I have switched gears from mainly exercising to “look good” to becoming “Super Saiyan” 😉
I would also like to continue my journey to becoming as proportional as some areas like my shoulders could be a bit better and these exercises will for sure help with that as well.

Had the same experience first time powerlifting. Did other types of lifting like, power cleans, calisthenics and what not, but never powerlifted.
I just hit a 30 pound PR today, 365 at 200 bw. Nothing crazy but anytime you hit a 30 pound PR you feel pretty good about yourself for at least a day lol
